STEWARDSHIP

Methodist founder John Wesley said, “I look upon all the world as my parish.” Wesley reminded us that we are called to step out of our little corner of the world to spread the good news, transform hopelessness into hope, and help God’s children wherever they may be. “I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you welcomed me, I was naked, and you gave me clothing, I was sick, and you took care of me, I was in prison, and you visited me.” Matthew 25:35-36 (NRSV).

Our contributions benefit the programs and ministries of our local church and have regional, national, and international impact through our connectional giving system. The power of our collective giving enables us to spread the love of Jesus and support UMC programs worldwide. When we give generously, our gifts do wonderful, life-changing things in the name of Jesus Christ. Each Sunday, FUMC has food and clothing barrel in the Narthex for collection. Our volunteers deliver to Inter-Faith Ministries each month.

Bank Bill Pay: If you use online banking, consider using your bank’s Bill Pay to send a check to First UMC Modesto.  You can make a one-time donation or set up recurring donations.

In-Person: By cash, check, or credit card during business hours of Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. -1 p.m.
